Present Scenario

It is our collective responsibility to use the Earth's resources as efficiently as possible while minimizing any negative impact on the environment. One effective approach to achieve this is by reducing the demand for virgin raw materials through the recycling of previously used materials.

In order to combat deforestation and preserve the environment and ecological balance, the Government of India has taken significant steps by banning the use of timber in government projects. Several key directives have been issued, including:

  • Ministry of Environment & Forests: Report from the Inter-Ministerial Group on Wood Substitution (April 1986), Reference No. 33-8/85-SU-I, Dated 18.06.1985.

  • Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure): Circular No. 7(7)-E(COORD)/88, Dated 14.03.1998.

  • Cabinet Secretariat: Circular No. 6/4/6/90-CAB, Dated 29.06.1990.

  • Ministry of Urban Development: D.O. No. 16012/5/92-HI, Dated 24.07.1992.

  • Honorable Supreme Court Verdict (12.12.1996): Banning the felling of trees and veneering of trees for plywood in forest areas.

In addition to these government measures, numerous departments and organizations, including Military Engineering Services, All India Radio, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Department of Telecom, Department of Postal Services, Railways, HUDCO, NBCC, LIC, UTI, Dena Bank, Bank of Baroda, DGHS, PWDs, Housing Boards, and Oil Companies, have already issued internal circulars prohibiting the use of wood and wood-based panel products, such as plywood.

These initiatives reflect a growing commitment to sustainable practices and the reduction of environmental degradation through responsible material use.

Concept & Need to Recycle

It is our collective responsibility to use the Earth's resources as efficiently as possible while minimizing negative environmental impacts. One of the most effective ways to achieve this is by reducing the demand for virgin raw materials through the recycling of previously used or production waste materials.

Recyclable / Eco-Friendly Cribs

One such innovative solution is Recyclable / Eco-Friendly Cribs, a new composite material made entirely from used waste and production waste that would otherwise be impossible to recycle. This product offers a sustainable alternative by transforming challenging waste into a functional and eco-friendly material, contributing to the reduction of landfill waste and the conservation of natural resources.

Global Scenario:

Research into innovative uses of waste materials is continually progressing. After intensive research on the feasibility, environmental suitability, and performance of using complex waste materials, we have successfully developed Recyclable / Eco-Friendly Cribs. This initiative addresses society's growing need for safe and economical waste disposal while meeting the industrial demand for more cost-effective, sustainable construction materials. By reducing production costs and offering a competitive price point, this solution not only supports the environment but also brings economic savings to all involved.

The Need to Recycle:

  • Population Growth & Waste Generation: As the global population continues to grow, so does the volume and diversity of waste produced. Many of these waste materials will remain in the environment for hundreds, if not thousands, of years, contributing to a growing waste disposal crisis.

  • Waste Disposal Crisis: An average town dweller can produce up to a ton of refuse annually, a volume that quickly overflows local landfills. As landfill space dwindles, local authorities are often forced to resort to incineration or transporting waste to other areas, exacerbating environmental challenges.

  • Environmental Pollution: The accumulation of non-degradable waste materials leads to contamination of the environment, causing air pollution (e.g., acid rain or traffic-related emissions), water pollution, and oil contamination.

The only viable solution to this crisis is the recycling of waste into useful, sustainable products that not only address the waste disposal issue but also reduce the strain on natural resources, mitigate environmental damage, and promote a circular economy.

By embracing recycling, we can create eco-friendly materials that support both environmental sustainability and economic growth, ensuring a cleaner, greener future for generations to come.
